“Every day is a new beginning in my studio; contemplating with excitement my next painting which allows me to continue exploring my visual language and personal vision. This collection of work has a focus on colours, shapes, layered drawing, and the multi-dimensional movement of each composition. The colour bands and circles add new physical attributes and focus to the paintings and elevate the surface in an upward direction, inviting the viewer into a dialogue. Each painting challenges the viewer to look within, a progressive evolution that ascends to a fuller and profound meaning offering the freedom for an ascending revelation and openness into a deeper experience.” Carlo Amantea, 2024
"Internalizing today’s current affairs necessitated a different approach which had me working away from my typical geometric style. This exhibition will feature both new works and earlier works, showcasing the progression to a looser composition. “I have been immersed in change and thinking a great deal about this series of paintings and meaning; I feel the most appropriate title is “Ascencion”. As my world has been shifting with dramatic events having transpired, my focus is to reveal the healing within the creative spirit and expression. With the recent passing of my daughter Kyra Alexandra, and then gallery owner, John Mann I feel my voice is centred upon moving energy towards positivity with raw emotion.
