Hear Us Roar at 13th Street Gallery in St. Catharines

ST CATHARINES – 13th Street Gallery located at 1776 Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines is proud to announce its next exhibition Hear Us Roar featuring works by Ann Clarke, Kimberly Danielson and Patricia Gagic that opens on Saturday July 17, 2021. 13th Street Gallery recognizes the important role women have played in the Art industry; this exhibition will be exhibiting three outstanding female artists. “Hear Us Roar” has become synonymous with women’s liberation and female empowerment, inspired by the 1972 Grammy-winning hit “I am Women” by Australian musician Helen Reddy. As Ontario continues to reopen, 13th Street Gallery as a non-essential retailer, will be operating at 25% capacity.

Senior artist Ann Clarke has been exhibiting her works since 1969 and she continues to push abstract expressionism to new heights. Committed to the evolution of painting, Clarke’s work explores both formal and conceptual aspects of the medium.

A graduate from OCAD University, Kimberly Joy Danielson’s body of work emerges as a culmination and synthesis of a lifelong practice of painting, psychoanalysis and exposure to the colours, traditions, and handicrafts of Västerbotten Sweden and Telemark Norway.

International Contemporary Artist Patricia Karen Gagic’s work take on a traditional association between abstraction and the genre of landscape painting. She has been exhibiting her works since 1992, winning various awards and recognition for her writings and her Art.
