ST CATHARINES – 13th Street Gallery located at 1776 Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition Into Nature featuring works by Carlo Amantea, Floyd Elzinga and Marianne Fowler opening Saturday August 21, 2021. Whether you are talking about the natural environment or describing an inherent character of something, NATURE runs through this upcoming exhibition.

As they say, ‘Art is Man’s nature’ and this is true for Carlo who explores the marriage of nature and art. His joyful wonder in nature’s beauty is expressed in his works through the combination of images, textures, structures, use of palette and years of practiced intuition in the creative realization of his vision.

On the other hand, Elzinga is inspired by nature herself, depicting Canada’s terrain with his beautiful metal works. Rotton stumps, broken branches, invasive species, ravaged trees as well as polar opposites and dysfunctional objects are the things that excite Floyd.

For Marianne, it is about the nature of painting and the dialogue between painting and the viewer. Her work engages actively in a dialogue between the past and the future of painting; it is a veritable link between the origins of pure abstraction in modernism and the more conceptual formats of painting in the postmodern age.

Join us and meet the Artists on the following dates:
Carlo Amantea and Marianne Fowler on Saturday August 21, 2021
Floyd Elzinga on Saturday September 18, 2021

The exhibition will continue until Saturday September 18, 2021
