New Exhibition, Full Soecturm: A Life in Colour at 13th Street Gallery

New works by Daniel Soloman and Paul Sloggett

ST. CATHARINES-  13th Street Gallery located at 1776 Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines presents a new exhibition entitled FULL SPECTRUM: A Life in Colour, begins on Monday August, 10, 2020 at 10am. This bold exhibition will feature two important, established Toronto artists Daniel Soloman and Paul Sloggett, both Professors at the Ontario Collage of Art and Design. Solomon and Sloggett share a love of vivid colour and expression. Their joyful paintings celebrate life, the natural world and their connection to landscape.

Dan Solomon is an abstract artist who uses intense, vibrant colour in his work, combined with complex, pictorial space, inspired by artists such as Jack Bush. Critics suggest that he has formed a bridge between the second and third generations of Toronto modernists or even form part of the third generation of Toronto abstract painters. Daniel has shown his paintings and sculptures regularly in solo exhibitions in major galleries in Toronto and has exhibited across the USA and Europe.
Paul Sloggett graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1973. Sloggett is a disciplined, controlled painter, who questions the pictorial field through strongly asserted geometric design. In his professional practice, Sloggett has produced 26 solo exhibitions in painting and site specific installations in New York City and in Salt Lake City, Utah.
