ST CATHARINES- A new gallery in St. Catharines located at 13th Street Winery announces its next exhibition Evolving Legacies to open on Saturday February 22, 2020 from 2pm-5pm featuring contemporary Toronto artists Matt Bahen, Cynthia Chapman and Kyle Clements. Modernism has much uncharted territory. The artists on view strike out new paths for themselves. Their work speaks effectively of the art of today with its devotion to the nature of creative expression.

Evolving Legacies showcases the next generation of Toronto’s abstract painters. Matt Bahen is primarily influenced by literature. Using a variety of motifs, such as fire, water and animals his impasto compositions are both highly emotive and engaging. In Cynthia Chapman’s pictorial experiments the desired outcome is a composition with a sense of movement and expressiveness in colour, balanced by harmony and contrast. Kyle Clements’ vibrant acrylic paintings hover between representation and abstraction, capturing the electric buzz of life in the city.

Evolving Legacies will run until Saturday, March 28, 2020.
Regular Public Hours: Tuesday, November 5, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
