The Official Press Release for REFLECTIVE, a brand new exhibition by John Mann Gallery.
St. Catharines, ON – June 7, 2024 – The John Mann Gallery is thrilled to announce its upcoming exhibition, REFLECTIVE, featuring the debut showcase of acclaimed artists ARO and Chaka Chikodzi alongside celebrated artist Floyd Elzinga. The exhibition promises to captivate audiences with new works by each artist, offering a unique blend of perspectives and artistic expressions.
Scheduled to run from June 29th to July 27th, 2024, REFLECTIVE will kick off with a Meet the Artist event on June 29th, 2024, from 2pm-5pm. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to engage with the artists and gain insights into their creative processes. During the exhibition, on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 6pm to 8 pm, the gallery will also be hosting an exclusive Artist Talk with Aro.

Chaka Chikodzi, a Zimbabwean-Canadian sculptor, shares his profound connection with volcanic rock through his masterful creations. His piece "Wheel of Time," crafted from Cobalt Stone, stands as a testament to his journey bridging two worlds, capturing the essence of temporal forces and personal narratives.
Floyd Elzinga's exploration of the modern landscape takes center stage with his series showcasing the natural colors and textures of steel. From panoramic mountainous views to intricate details of nature, Elzinga's artwork invites viewers to contemplate movement and serenity through reflection, as exemplified in his piece "Panoramic Mountain #24-203."
ARO's artwork delves into the realm of emotions and introspection, offering a profound exploration of the soul's reflection. Through his piece "Traversée introspective," ARO invites viewers to contemplate the intricate interplay between what is seen and the emotions it evokes, challenging viewers to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
