Curtis Doherty studied at Sheridan College of Art and Design in Toronto which included an opportunity to study in Bobbio Pellice, Italy. He is a Canadian oil painter currently residing in Ontario, and holding classes in painting and drawing as a part-time art professor at the University of Pristina.
His paintings explore the complex relationships of the tangible and the intangible. Using both traditional and contemporary oil painting techniques, he explores themes of history and the modern world. With a strong storytelling approach, Curtis has completed multiple bodies of work that have been exhibited in Canada and Europe.
