Collection: Brita Housez

Brita Housez exhibited at the John Mann Gallery SQUARE FOOT 2024 exhibition.

Brita Housez was born in Germany and grew up in France and Quebec. Following her studies at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, she moved to France where she resided for ten years. She is the author of the best-selling cookbook, ‘Tofu Mania’ along with three other cookbooks. Her interest in food preparation and nutrition helped developed her sense of creativity and imagination which led her towards painting.

Working in oils, acrylic and mixed media, Brita explores vibrant colours in impressionistic and abstract styles. Her paintings have been published on the cover of a nationwide calendar, a Canadian music CD as well as a Canadian historical novel.
