Collection: Kareen Hague
Kareen Hague exhibited at the John Mann Gallery SQUARE FOOT 2024 exhibition.
Kareen Hague is a member of the Artists’ Network in Toronto and sits on their Board of Directors. She describes herself as an experimental fine artist working with abstract realism. Primarily self-taught, Hague has taken many artist workshops and continues to do so to improve her craft. Growing up in a household of creatives as both her parents made art, Hague felt a natural affinity towards artmaking.
Kareen’s paintings are layers of colour and texture using both traditional and non-traditiional mark-making tools. Inspired by nature’s botanicals, trees and water, Hague will abstract her landscape paintings to express a more emotive image, depicting the detailed textures and colours of nature. She has participated in various outdoor art shows including Riverdale Artwalk, Stouffville Art in the Park, Kennisis Lake -Art on the Dock, Oakville Art in the Park, Artwalk in the Square.
