Karen Klucowicz is a figurative abstract oil painter working out of Hamilton, Ontario. Her works explore body-positive images and the stereotypes that come with it. Her subject matter is often concept-driven with a focus on individual strength and how it affects relationships. Karen’s art practice includes the study of colour associated with the key energy points of the Chakra system.

“I believe there is no better way to demonstrate inner strength, characteristics, relationship challenges and personal development, than to strip away ideas of an individual or culture and reveal the essence of being. The shade of skin, shape of body, sexuality and environment that surround the figure(s), must be accessible.”
