Owen Masters was born in Toronto in 1945. He graduated from Ontario College of Art in 1969 and from York University in 1982 with a Fine Arts honours degree. He attended Toronto Teachers’ College and taught for the Toronto District School Board for 32 years. He was awarded an honourable mention in the CSEA Hallmark Art Scholarship program and was selected to participate in the L.I.F.E. Institute’s juried art exhibition sponsored by Ryerson Polytechnic University.

Owen has exhibited his works in various galleries across Ontario, including Toronto. He is an active member of the Lakeside Pumphouse Artists’ Association and participated in many workshops and art shows.
