Susan Little is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design University (then OCAD) in Toronto. Her background in magazine art direction, graphic design and illustration shaped her approach to her painting compositions. Inspired by her travels, Susan’s paintings explore the array of beauty that nature has to offer. Her latest series ‘How My Garden Grows’ demonstrates Susan’s attraction and love affair with flowers.

“I am attracted to the vivid colours and the intensity that I can achieve when using acrylic paints. I like the bounce of the stretched canvas and the sounds that the first few brush strokes make across it. It all allows the end result to be a thrilling juicy and vibrant coloured painting. My travels have taken me to some of the most gorgeous outdoor scenery to paint from. Some places are as close as my back door, others a day’s journey way up in northern Ontario’s bear country. Some of my art adventures have taken me to Phoenix, Arizona, London, Portugal and Spain where I have revelled in their endless array of beauty.”
