Literature:

Henry Saxe’s Sphere sculptures reflect a tension between the enclosure of the whole structure and the relative freedom of motion of the individual components. These aluminum works are multi-positional pieces, their configuration and shapes are limitless.

Borromean Rings:

In mathematics, the Borromean rings are three simple closed curves in three-dimensional space that are topologically linked and cannot be separated from each other, but that break apart into two unknotted and unlinked loops when any one of the three is cut or removed.

About The Artist:

Canadian sculptor, Henry Saxe was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1937. He attended the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. He later settled in the countryside of Tamworth, Ontario. While sculpture remains his main focus, Saxe also practices drawing and painting.
